What is cybersecurity and what is this site about
During my years in University and later my professional life, concepts have arisen that have stumped me, flabbergasted me and made me want to rip my hair out. This site aims to lessen the pains of the most fundamental parts of IT and Cybersecurity.
In today’s connected world, cybersecurity is no longer optional, it’s essential. From personal emails to corporate databases, digital information is constantly under threat from hackers, scammers, and malicious software. Whether you’re an individual or a business, understanding the basics of cybersecurity can help protect your data, reputation, and peace of mind. So, what exactly is cybersecurity? At its core, it’s the practice of safeguarding systems, networks, and information from digital attacks. Threats come in many forms. Phishing emails that try to trick you into sharing personal details, malware that sneaks onto your computer through unsafe downloads, and ransomware that locks you out of your own files are just a few examples. The end goal of cybercriminals is often simple: steal data, disrupt services, or profit from unsuspecting victims.
